Tickets4 began life in 2011 when Fortismere School in Muswell Hill, north London agreed to sell an allocation of tickets for One Man, Two Guvnors to the parents and staff with each ticket carrying a mandatory donation of £5. All 100 tickets sold out in less than a few hours raising £500 for the PTA very easily and quickly, simply by sending out an email with a unique booking link. And with that tickets4schools was born.
New offers were set up for additional shows and word began to spread through parents with children in different schools, resulting in more and more schools asking to participate.
Pre COVID, the scheme had sold almost 6,000 tickets raising just under £30,000 for PTAs and schools across the Greater London area. As schools and theatre begin to re-open post pandemic, tickets4schools is back to raise much needed funds for schools and encourage audiences back into theatres.
Now the scheme has been extended to charities, sports clubs and any community groups that are looking for additional ways to fundraise hence the “schools” element has been dropped from the name and the scheme now operates as tickets4.theatre
